Legal English in London!

Our Legal English course is designed for law students, practicing lawyers and other professionals working in the legal sector. If you want to develop your English language skills within a legal context, and prepare for the Cambridge International Legal English Certificate (ILEC), then this is the course for you. Our Legal English course covers fifteen areas of law and includes the study of real court trials in order to enhance the learning experience of the students.

Legal English

Course participants work on improving all four English language skills within a legal context as well as learning specific legal terminology and how to use it appropriately. The course also includes preparation for the Cambridge International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) so there is an emphasis on the exam techniques and study strategies required to pass the exam. In addition to this, participants are expected to improve their core study skills through up to 2 hours of focused self-study each evening set by their tutors to meet their needs.

The main focus of the course is on commercial law, with particular emphasis on company law and contracts. The topics covered include:
