This course is a general introduction to Finance and Banking to help you understand better. You will learn all about the basics of Finance, with a special focus on Banking.

Financial news is dominating the Headlines. The Financial and Banking system had and still have a great impact on the economic situation in the world. This course is a general introduction to Finance and Banking to help you understand better. You will learn all about the basics of Finance, with a special focus on Banking.

The main topics are: financial statements, ratio analysis, asset and liability management and accounting. After a general introductions you will explore specific issues and challenges and zoom in on the role of banking. The content will be offered through a mix of lectures, cases, an interactive banking game and through site visits. 

This course could either be followed as a separate 1-week course or as the first part of your intensive track on "Finance and Banking Today and in the Future", by combining it with ‘New Financing Models in a Changing World’. 

Lecturers have extensive experience in the international financial world and in teaching Finance and Banking courses in an international environment.
